Tough game last night. Wells just didn't have it. I understand Francona's reasons for leaving him in but for that long? He requests a trade in the off season and throws crappy in last night's game. Does he really want to play for the Red Sox or did he succomb to the pressure of pitching at Fenway? It makes you wonder. 4 innings, 10 hits, 7 runs. Just terrible. He kept throwing those inside fast balls and the Jays were just teeing off. A wicked bad day.
Mohr, Wily, Ortiz and Lowell had some hits, enough to scorre 4 runs, but that wasn't enough. Manny seems to be in some kind of slump. He should be able to shake that off soon. Loretta and Gonzalez are looking good out there and Youk. I'm liking the team. Brandnew team, it's going to take a few games to mesh. There's something missing there though out in the field. I miss Millar and I think that he is the missing piece of the puzzle.
But the show must go on.
